Circular silver disc, 1" in diameter, center cut out in the shape of a mounted cavalry trooper. Horseman is encompassed by a 1/4" band or border, upon which is engraved the trooper's ID; "J. K. Clements" in a circular fashion on the upper portion. Lower area of border is engraved with, "Co.B 1st Me. V.C." John K. Clements, from Munroe, Maine, served with the 2nd Maine Infantry and later with the 1st Maine Cavalry.
